Jarvis and Victoria

We want you to know you already have an important place in our hearts and lives as you consider us to love and raise your beautiful child.

Letter to the Birthmother

Dear Birthmother, Our names are Jarvis and Victoria, and we are honored and blessed that you are considering us for your most precious gift in the world. We want you to know you already have an important place in our hearts and lives as you consider us to love and raise your beautiful child.  Though we have not met, you exemplify a level of bravery and selflessness that is a paradigm for humanity, and for that, we admire you.  Jarvis and I know that this is not an easy decision for you, and that your measure of sacrifice is only surpassed by the love you must feel for this child.  However, we are thankful that you chose life and allowed God to Order Your Steps which led you to this process, and potentially to us. We have always wanted a family. The idea of bringing a child of love into our happy family has been a driving force in our relationship since the beginning. Though our love and faith are strong, we have faced a challenging infertility journey, and that loss has only brought us closer to each other and to God.  While we still strive to have biological children, adoption has always been a desire of our hearts.  Victoria and I will provide a loving, stable, fun, home deeply rooted in Christian values and the love of Jesus Christ.  Your child will be the center of our lives and we will be totally devoted to his/her happiness and safety. If we are blessed to be chosen to be a part of your journey.  We Thank You!

About Us

Jarvis- I am a 43-year-old Christian man.  I attended Florida State University.  I have been in the hotel management industry for over 20 years. I am currently an Associate Director of Operations in a Hospitality company. I enjoy science fiction, history, film and music of all genres.  I am a HUGE nerd. I have a wealth of knowledge with facts that don’t benefit our daily lives in any way, shape or form.  Victoria thinks I should go on a game show. Victoria- I am a 41-year-old Christian woman.  I attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2005.  I have been in the financial industry since 2011.  I have held many roles but now I’m a Senior Partner Support Specialist.  I assist financial consultants and branch partners with researching client needs.  I am a loving person who enjoys living life to the fullest. My favorite pass time is spending time with my family and specifically my husband.  I like to listen to music, watch movies, travel, and go to concerts.  I love to read, and my favorite genre is mystery and suspense novels.  I love the beach, I love the pool, I love the water, but I cannot swim.  Hopefully, I will attend swimming with our child(ren). We met for the first time in 2003 while attending college in different states.  We did not pursue a relationship at that time.  Fast forward 14 years later and we reconnected in 2018.  I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, for work with my cousin. My cousin was Jarvis’s fraternity brother and worked for him at the time.  We began to spend time together and considered ourselves the 3 Musketeers.  Within 3 months of our reconnection, we began to date, met each other’s families, and Jarvis asked my father for my hand in marriage.  One month later we were married.  Jarvis proposed on August 16, 2018, and we were married on August 30th, two weeks later.

PROSPECTIVE ADOPTIVE APPLICANTS SHOULD SIGN BELOW TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR FULL AGREEMENT WITH AND ADHERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS OF FAITH.

New Beginnings Statement of Faith

The Statement of Faith is an essential foundation for our ministry.

We believe:

  • That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings serving as the only infallible authoritative Word of God for faith and life.
  • There is one living and true God, the Creator, who exemplifies Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus is both fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay our debts, physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will return to establish His reign.
  • Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man interceding on behalf of those who accept Him as Lord and Savior. His death on the cross served as an atoning sacrifice, and whoever believes in Him and repents of their sins is justified on the ground of His shed blood.
  • That God created mankind, both male and female, in His image, that mankind sinned by disobeying God resulting in both physical and spiritual death, that because of the fall every human being is born into sin and stands guilty before God.
  • Salvation is a wholly free gift of Grace given solely by God and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. God extends His righteousness to those who place their faith in Christ alone for their salvation and thereby justified them in His sight.
  • The Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies Christ and continues the saving work of Christ to individuals. The Holy Spirit convicts and draws sinners to Christ, delivers new life to them, dwells within new believers, empowers and guides believers into godly living, and seals them until the day of redemption.
  • That the resurrection of the dead includes all mankind, the believer to life everlasting and the unbeliever to eternal condemnation.
  • That God created the world as described in the book of Genesis, that He created male and female in His image ascribing gender biologically at conception and establishing marriage between one man and one woman as the first covenant relationship.
  • In the value and sanctity of human life from conception until natural death.
  • That adoption is the gospel and is presented as the means God uses to bring new believers into His family. Adoption is also affirmed in Scripture, demonstrated by the adoption of Moses and the adoption of Christ by his earthly father Joseph.
  • That Christ called all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple people of every nation. We believe that adoption is part of fulfilling this calling.
